A Cold Wind
03:18
|
|||
Where darkness meets the lightness
Or rather the lightness meets the darkness
Before the sun is way up
As the room warms and I wake up
Her chest in beads of sweat
Each bead like morning dew
I blow a cold wind
Quietly across her skin
A few drops ran from the peaks of her right breast
Chasing after one another to her tender ribs
To that lucky sheet
Oh that lucky sheet
I blow a cold wind
Quietly across her skin
From the moon’s shadows
Where in it’s sunshine lid
He feels only her smile
Through the stars spaces
Where in it’s perpetual gift
He feels only her gaze
Between the clouds grays
Where in it’s nebulas rinse
He feels only her breath
Beneath the ocean’s cliffs
Where in it’s abyssal kiss
He feels only her lips
I blow a cold wind
Quietly across her skin

Don't Blame the Rain
03:57
|
|||
I can barely breath
In the right bright light
Of some mid rise town
I can barely see
In the right bright light
Of some mid rise town
I can barely swim
In the right bright light
I think I’m gonna drown
I can barely walk
In the right bright light
Of some mid rise town
I can barely think
In the right bright light
Of some mid rise town
I can barely sink
In the right bright light
I think I’m gonna drown
Hey, there’s no need to blame
Accept the nonstop rain
In the right bright light
Don’t stop the rain
In the right bright light
I think I’m gonna drown

Berlin, that’s what I’m in
I’m thinkin’ about David
Thinkin’ about Iggy
Broken glasses
And a dead phone
Torn sheet of paper
On my tongue
I’m out here on my own
The hotel is close
Just across that bridge
Performers in the streets threatening me
I gave them a twenty bit was all I had
The hotel is close
Just cross that bridge
Then turn right at the wall in Berlin
I was lost
So stop for a drink
“Do you know where this hotel is”
I ask the man tending the bar
“You are in this hotel, my friend”
He simply gave me the key
He did not question a thing
Berlin, that’s what I’m in

Making Friends
03:31
|

Getting in the taxi cab
Going to the hotel bar
The driver ask me where I’m from
Does it really matter
It’s a half past three
When I tell him my life story
Seems the ride is too long
Now he won’t let me leave
Now he knows too much
To let me go

Guntime
03:46
|
|||
Driving and riding
Moving down the autoroute
Looking out the window
Chatting with my good friend
And what do I see
But a young man
Leaning out his window
With a gun on me
I thought this was the city of romance
I thought this was where I’d be safe
I thought this was where the world would be fare
I guess I made a mistake
And the Paris said
“This kind of thing happens all of the time. They’re just kids having a guntime”

Blueberries

I caught a cloud of particles
Made of ageless skin
Sold it to a street man with two glass eyes
He told me that being blind was the best thing that had ever happened to him
And from what he’d heard there was nothing worth seeing
He then said he was born blind
I didn’t know if I trusted him
He was clearly getting old
I could tell by the color of his tongue
That he was dying from the inside out
Or maybe he had a taste for blueberries
I told him he could try a little of my ageless cloud but he insisted on paying before testing
So I cut out my eyes and put them in back garbage bag
After a few minutes I wondered my way back to the street man
And after many conversations
I convinced him to trade me my eyes for his cane
He looked at me confused and said he had lost the cloud
I put my eyes back his face
Looked up and he could see high above all of the buildings in the city the was floating
So I ran
I ran to the side of the build
Took the fire escape
Took the stairs for three floors
Took the elevator for three more
And when I reached the roof
I climbed a cell phone tower
I could see the entire city
And there,
I caught a cloud of particles
Made of ageless skin

Here in this dug well
There is where those blue birds fell
Where the hills meet the valleys
We can go where nobody knows
Where the valley meets the river
Quiet and calm we move along
Freeze temptation off their burning skin
Make their prisyn feel like a hidden heaven
Even when the door is wide open and the hell outside is begging for their hands
Let them wait for that perfect time to escape
To fly out
Here in this dug well
There is where those blue birds fell
Sweethearts, don.’today you ever give in
Even when you are at your end
