Where darkness meets the lightness
Or rather the lightness meets the darkness
Before the sun is way up
As the room warms and I wake up
Her chest in beads of sweat
Each bead like morning dew
I blow a cold wind
Quietly across her skin
A few drops ran from the peaks of her right breast
Chasing after one another to her tender ribs
To that lucky sheet
Oh that lucky sheet
I blow a cold wind
Quietly across her skin
From the moon’s shadows
Where in its sunshine lids
He feels only her smile
Through the stars spaces
Where in its perpetual gift
He feels only her gaze
Between the clouds grays
Where in its nebulas rinse
He feels only her breath
Beneath the ocean’s cliffs
Where in its abyssal kiss
He feels only her lips
I blow a cold wind
Quietly across her skin
In October of 2020 I was invited to perform in the parking lot of a local venue here in Louisville. This was the only option at the time with social distancing and all of the regulations to make any event happen. Not the most thrilling setting, so we decided to make it a little more of a thrill by perform the recently released album PRISYN in it’s entirety. The tricky thing was that the album is entirely electronic. To step the live experience up a notch we decided to add two new additions to the band to make this occasion extra special; our dearest and nearest friends Tory and Dahm. After three months of rearranging and rehearsing the show was unfortunately cancelled just a week prior due to a spike of COVID-19 cases. Fortunately, we found a more than ideal space that was available for the exact dates as the cancelled show. Scrambling, we quickly threw together a small crew of friends to film and record what is now PRISYN: LIVE FROM SCARLET CHAPEL. It is likely that this will be the only time this album will be performed in it’s entirety. Getting together to make this happen was a highlight of the pandemic. Hope you enjoy it.

I love the light and shade between Bryan's dirty and Emma's forlorn vocals. There are so many layers to this recording that are driven home through contrast. Plus the riffs are brilliant and get me moving. I can't stop listening to Thou and Emma in general lately. spaceman2250
